Employee is put in Tim Hortons freezer during armed robbery in Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Roseville police are looking for two suspects in connection to a robbery at a Tim Hortons on Gratiot Sunday evening.

Two employees were inside of the restaurant at the time of the armed robbery, police say.

The incident happened around 8:45 p.m. at the Tim Hortons at 25511 Gratiot.

Police say the two employees were working in the rear of the restaurant when the two suspects approached them wearing hoodies and one with a black face mask. One suspect had a handgun and the other was carrying a plastic bag.

The suspects demanded money from the employees and the employees complied. That's when cash was taken from the office and the cash registers.

As one suspect stayed with one employee in the back are of the building, police say the suspect ordered that employee into the freezer in the building. The other suspect went to the cash registers with the second employee.

Both suspects later fled the building.

Police say there were no injuries and the suspects were able to leave with an undetermined amount of cash.

One suspect is described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. He was wearing an all black hoodie with a black face mask, black sweat pants and possibly black shoes with a white wavy stripe down the outside. Police say they could have possibly been Puma shoes. He was also wearing black gloves.

The second suspect is described as being between 5 feet 6 inches tall and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue hoodie with a black knit hat over the hood. He was also wearing grey sweatpants, black shoes and black gloves.
