EMS vehicle hit by car while responding to call in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Two people are in critical condition after an EMS vehicle crash in Detroit overnight Saturday.

According to police, medics were responding to a call around 1:53 a.m. in the area of Gratiot and Seymour. The EMS vehicle was struck by a Ford Taurus who police say disregarded a red light.

The two occupants in the Taurus were left in critical condition, according to police. Two medics sustained minor injuries.
