NEWPORT, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 21-year-old mother from Newport and her 1-year-old daughter who have been missing since Sunday have been found safe, police say. No other information was immediately made available.
Police issued an endangered missing alert for the 1-year-old in Monroe County.
According to police, 1-year-old Aubree Nicole Hayslip and her biological mother, 21-year-old Kyrsten Hayslip, were last seen Jan. 26 around 6 p.m. leaving their home in Newport.
Kyrsten told family members she was going to babysit for a friend overnight and would be back the next morning. Police say Kyrsten brought Aubree along with her and both were last seen getting into a gray passenger car that Kyrsten said was an Uber. She was using the alleged Uber to get to her friends house.
Kyrsten and her child didn't return home but were located Thursday evening, police say.
