It's  a unique competition that will have entrepreneurs pitching at new heights.

We’ve heard of elevator pitches, and even Uber pitches. But what about pitching your idea in a moving helicopter?

Lockheed Martin Ventures and several other companies are inviting entrepreneurs to join them in the skies for what they’re calling a "HeloPitch."

The high-flying pitches will happen over Austin, Texas during the big South by Southwest event. It's a time when people from the interactive media, music and film industries converge on the city for a number of festivals.

Interested entrepreneurs are invited to submit entries by March 3 for a chance to be included in the HeloPitch. Selected companies will be notified by March 10.

Some of the focus areas: artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and space technologies.

"Entrepreneurs will share their great ideas, talk to their strengths and differentiators, all while in a moving helicopter. It's a wild way to pitch an idea, but so much of starting your own business is wild. In a way, this embodies that process," said Chris Moran, Lockheed Martin Ventures vice president, in a press release.
