DETROIT (WXYZ) — A woman is in the hospital Saturday morning after her ex-boyfriend set her vehicle on fire in Detroit, police say.

Around 8 a.m. the ex-boyfriend showed up on the 18000 block of Roselawn with a container of gasoline. Police say the man busted out the woman's car window and poured lighter fluid inside and on the Chevy Trailblazer parked in the driveway. He then ignited the fire.

Police and fire crews arrived on the scene shortly after. Crews put out the fire while officers arrested the man.

The investigation is ongoing.
