(WXYZ) — Expect to see a large police presence on Woodward this weekend even though the official Dream Cruise is canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Bloomfield Township Police Department says they still anticipate "a large influx of vehicle cruising this weekend."

One event planned for Saturday, Aug. 15 is the "MAGA Classic Car Cruise" hosted by the Oakland County Republic Party.

"We ask if you are not cruising to expect delays and seek an alternate route. If you do have plans to cruise we ask that you please stay in your vehicles and follow social distancing guideline," Bloomfield Township PD wrote in a Facebook post.
