ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A family of four was able to safely escape from their home after it caught fire in Rochester Hills Thursday morning.
The Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to the report of a house fire in the 2700 block of Hickory Lawn around 5:45 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find fire coming from the front of the house. The family of four – two adults and two children – along with their dog and pet bird were out of the home when firefighters arrived.
Crews deployed their hose lines to quickly extinguish the fire. There were no injuries, according to the Rochester Hills Fire Department.
Crews say the fire was confined to the outside of the home with minimal damage to the interior. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
