Farmington police say they have arrested a local doctor for having inappropriate contact with a female teen patient.
According to police, Dr. Eliezer Monge, a physician with an office in downtown Farmington, is charged with assault and battery after touching the patient.
Police say the victim is an 18-year-old woman from Farmington. She told police Monge met her in the exam room and had her lay on her back on the exam table. That's when police say he began touching her in a way that made her feel uncomfortable.
She also told police after trying to help her get off the exam table, "he leaned in and attempted to kiss her on the lips." She turned away and Monge kiss her on the side of the neck with an open mouth, police say.
Monge denied the claims to investigators, but after taking a DNA sample from Monge and the victim's neck, the Michigan State Police crime lab confirmed they matched.
He was arraigned on the misdemeanor charge Friday and was given a $2,500 personal bond.
