FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Farmington Hill couple, and owners of two Guinness World Record-Holding cats, are suing over their deaths.

William and Lauren Powers are seeking more than $1 million in damages after their prized felines were killed in a house fire back in November 2017.

Cygnus held the world record for the longest tail, while Arcturus was the world's tallest domestic cat.

In a new lawsuit the couple claims an electric massage chair made by American Crocodile International Group was defective. It malfunctioned and caused the fire that killed the cats.
