BROOKLYN, Mich. (WXYZ) — UPDATE: The festival will resume at 9 p.m. where all scheduled artists will perform.

The 2019 Faster Horses Festival was suspended and evacuated Saturday due to severe weather threats.

Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, festival officials announced via Twitter that the festival site in Brooklyn needed to be cleared.

Attendees were asked to proceed to a protected area and to seek shelter.

Festival officials said they were still monitoring storm cells and assessing damage on festival grounds.

Attendees are urged to follow updates on the festival's social media pages.
