Investigators say a child from Michigan was targeted in a child pornography case.

A criminal complaint was filed against Joshua Allen DePriest after investigators say he asked a 7-year-old boy from Taylor to send explicit photos and videos.

According to the complaint, DePriest allegedly sent several sexually explicit images, despite the boy declining, saying he was a child and was not supposed to receive those types of images.

According to the boy's mother, DePriest is a "distant relative."

Investigators say DePriest persistently messaged the boy on Facebook asking him to send nude photos. When the mother found the messages on her son's phone, she contacted Taylor Police.
