Watch our final Detroit 2020 Town Hall of 2017 in Dearborn

WXYZ’s last town hall meeting of 2017 was held in Dearborn at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. Dearborn residents WERE encouraged to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion.

7 Action News anchor Carolyn Clifford will host the event. She will be joined by 7 Action News anchor Glenda Lewis and 7 News Investigator, Simon Shaykhet. WXYZ will feature portions of the town hall meeting live on 7 Action News at 7 p.m. and on Facebook Live.

The 7 Action News town hall series is part of WXYZ’s Detroit 2020 community initiative, that was created to help make Metro Detroit a better place to work, live and raise families.

“The town hall meetings provide a great way for us to connect with the community by simply listening and giving these communities a voice,” saidMike Murri, WXYZ and WMYD vice president and general manager. “We want to hear the positive stories as well as our viewers’ challenges and concerns. Understanding the issues people are facing helps us do a better job of serving our viewers.”
