“The town hall meetings provide a great way for us to connect with the community by simply listening and giving these communities a voice,” said Mike Murri, WXYZ and WMYD vice president and general manager. “We want to hear the positive stories as well as our viewers’ challenges and concerns. Understanding the issues people are facing helps us do a better job of serving our viewers.”
This is the 6th town hall meeting in the series. Previous events were held in Detroit, Sterling Heights, Taylor, Troy and at WXYZ studios in Southfield. For more information about the Detroit 2020 town hall meetings, go to wxyz.com.
