The USDA Summer Food Service Program teams up with local schools and youth centers to provide free breakfast and lunch to children, no questions asked.
Lunch includes an entree, fruit, vegetables and milk. Breakfast includes cereal or a grain product with milk and fruit.
In the Southfield Public School District more than 65% of students are on free or reduced lunch. Roughly 80% qualify in Detroit.
Free meals are available to children 18-years old or under or students up to age 26 enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.
Children will not be asked any additional information other than their age.
