SOUTH LYON, Mich. (WXYZ) — A fire at The Lyon Cantina restaurant in South Lyon forced Pontiac Trail to temporarily close in both directions, officials said Tuesday morning.
The fire started in the restaurant's kitchen, fire officials say. The restaurant is a total loss.
Firefighters were on the scene with assistance from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
There were no people inside the building when the fire started.
Update, just got done speaking with the fire chief. He tells me the fire started over the kitchen although at this point they do not know how the fire started. No one was inside the building at the time that it started. Building is a loss @wxyzdetroit https://t.co/2CDsg7pqJq pic.twitter.com/GxatB0hsAU
