Emergency crews responded to the scene of a large fire at the Lakes Grille in Clarkston.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, the fire started in the kitchen area and spread to the attic.
Approximately a half dozen crews battled the fire for several hours. There were no reports of injuries.
Clarkston Fire Chief Mitch Petterson says the fire was trapped between two parts of the structure, which made it difficult to get under control.
The fire started before the Lakes Grille opened for business. There were no customers in the restaurant at the time. Those who were inside were able to get out of the building safely.
