A burning candle is to blame for an apartment fire in South Lyon, according to fire officials.
Neighbors say they've lost everything in the blaze.
It happened just after midnight at the Waters Edge Apartments.
Firefighters say six units were destroyed and it was all because a candle was left burning in a bedroom.
A resident who lives there tells 7 Action News her neighbor had lit the candle.
"He had a candle lit by his bed, bed sheets caught fire. We have no home as of this point," said Megan Dean.
Firefighters say there were no injuries.
They tell us neighbors woke up and began helping each other get out of the apartments.
