Several firefighters were taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries while battling an apartment fire on Detroit's east side.
Crews were called to the scene around 8 a.m. as flames consumed the building on Harmon Street near Brush Street.
We're told firefighters thought the apartment building was occupied and wanted to make sure no one was trapped inside.
Three firefighters were rushed to the hospital for injuries. We're told two firefighters had injuries to their backs, the other sustained facial burns.
Arson investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
