Flights across the nation are being canceled due to the first major winter storm of the season.

“I am more anxious thinking about how my I going to get back, what flight can I catch back,” said Misqy Troxel, whose flight was canceled from Detroit to Kansas City.

Some people will have to wait at least two days to get on their flights, others have limited options.

“I didn’t bring enough medicine to be here for a week and so I have to find a way home even if it’s rent a car and drive,” said Rob Tremble.

According to ABC News as of 5:00 p.m., there are at least 982 flights canceled and more 3,111 delays across the nation.

The most affect airports are Kansas City, Chicago O'Hare, and Chicago Midway.
