As thousands along the East Coast continue to brace for Hurricane Matthew, the impact is starting to be felt right here at home.
More than 1500 flights have been canceled so far and more are likely.
American Airlines leads the carriers with the most flights cancelled so far with more than 475 flights. Southwest behind them with just over a 140 flights.
It’s likely the list of those airlines cancelling flights will increase as will the number of flights impacting thousands as the day goes on.
The message to all airline passengers: check your flight before heading to the airport.
