A new bakery -- For the Love of Sugar -- is coming to Detroit and its mission it to offer a creative and interactive approach to baking for its customers.
Manal Hussein, the bakery's founder and owner, and Richard Broder, CEO of Broder and Sachse real estate joined 7 Action News to talk about the new bakery.
Cookie recipe:
1 cup room temperature unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 cups all purpose flour
Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined, then add flour 1 cup at a time.
