One automaker wants to take car fans on the ride of their lives.

Ford, on a mission to bring us closer to its innovations, has rolled out a virtual reality app called Ford VR.

The new app aims to give people a unique perspective of the auto company. If you download the app now, you'll get immersed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 360 degree video tells the story of the all-new Ford GT's return to the famous race.

The automaker plans to roll out content pretty regularly, with the next story launching in September.

Users can turn on notifications for the app to stay updated on new content. The app is available for iOS and Android devices.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to provide truly immersive experiences that showcase the best of Ford Motor Company,” stated Lisa Schoder, Ford digital marketing manager, in a news release. “Our virtual reality platform allows us to tell dramatic, impactful stories, to show a surprising side of Ford.
