Former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh will be back in court on August 5 for a probable cause hearing.
Pugh appeared before Judge Shannon Holmes Tuesday morning. She recused herself from the case because she knows one of the victims. She granted the motion by the defense to recuse herself.
Judge Deborah Langston will preside over the case.
Pugh was arraigned last week on six counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Pugh was recently arrested in New York City for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage boy in 2003. Pugh was extradited back to Detroit.
