A former Macomb County Sheriff correction's deputy has been arraigned for Criminal Sexual Conduct after reports involving female inmates.
Steven Robert Vaneenoo is accused of fondling a woman's breasts through the bars of a jail cell during security checks in the section of the jail that house female prisoners.
A female inmate told detectives about the incident, which reportedly took place on December 18, 2015.
Vaneenoo resigned following the allegations.
An investigation also revealed that Vaneenoo set up a phone account where female inmates could call him on his personal cellphone.
Vaneenoo is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fourth Degree.
