(WXYZ) — Former MSU President Lou Anna Simon will be back in court Monday for a preliminary hearing.

Simon is accused of lying to police about the allegations against former MSU employee and USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar.
Simon claims she was never told Nassar's name after he was accused of sexually assaulting a former students in 2017. However, prosecutors say notes from a meeting with a top adviser suggest otherwise.
If convicted, she could get up to four years in prison.
