(WXYZ) — Condoleezza Rice, the 66th U.S. Secretary of State, is expected to speak at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Friday.

Rice is expected to discuss a number of topics, including her career in public service and the current state of foreign affairs.

The free ticketed event is open to the public. It will be held at the Rackham Graduate School Auditorium. Tickets can be requested here.

Rice was secretary of state under President George W. Bush from 2005 to 2009 - the second woman and first African American woman to serve in this high-ranking position. From 2001 to 2005, she was the first woman to serve as a national security adviser to the president.
