Detroit police say four teens were shot and one was killed overnight outside of a Detroit restaurant on the city's west side.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday outside of Steve's Soul Food in the 8400 block of Grand River, near Euclid.

Police say multiple shots were fired after some sort of argument by two different groups.

A 16-year-old male was shot and privately conveyed to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was in extremely critical condition. He later died at the hospital. We're told he is the grandson of a former captain in the Detroit Police Department.

Two 18-year-old men were also shot and a 17-year-old female was shot.

Police say the suspects are two groups of shooters. One was driving a red Chrysler 300 and the other a maroon Dodge Charger.

We're told it happened at an after party, meant to be a celebration for teenagers. Parents tell us it was after the Cass Tech Grammy's, but the school said there event was not affiliated with the after party.
