Free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges available to those who want to quit smoking

(WXYZ) — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is providing free resources for those who want to quit smoking.

As part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Tips From Former Smokers campaign, MDHHS is offering free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges through September 30.

Michigan residents can get up to eight weeks for free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges by calling the Quitline at 800-QUIT-NOW, that's 800-784-8669.
