(WXYZ) — January comes bearing gifts for anyone who needs to park in downtown Royal Oak.
The city announced Wednesday that all on-street and surface lot parking will be free in downtown Royal Oak now through the end of January.
The announcement comes as the city says they are working to bring their newly installed parking meter system online.
