Prices at the pump are on the rise once again in metro Detroit.
According to AAA, we're averaging about $2.17 per gallon across the state, which is about six cents more than last week. It's also about 34 cents less than this time last year.
The current average across metro Detroit is about $2.13 per gallon, cheaper than the statewide average, and just one cent more than last week. That's still down 35 cents from last year.
Some experts say rising oil costs, reduced refinery production and growing gasoline demand will inch up gas prices across the country for at least the next couple of months.
