General Motors announced it will be laying off more than 1,000 workers at its Lansing Delta Township plant.
The plant is ending the production of the previous Acadia model as the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee will pick up building the all-new GMC Acadia.
That third shift will end for LDT on May 12.
Production of the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse will continue at the Lansing plant, according to General Motors.
