Glitch on election website forces delay for Wayne County primary results

Just a few hours after the polls closed in Michigan, a glitch on the website that posts results for Wayne County is causing a delay for the county's results.

According to Jeffrey DeLongchamp, the president of Election Source, which runs ElectionReporting.com, there was an issue with the website where it was doubling numbers from Wayne County.

Wayne County officials decided to pull the numbers off of the website, according to DeLongchamp. While the error has been corrected by the website's programmers, they are now waiting on the county to give the OK to put the numbers back on the website.

ElectionSource is posting election results for several counties in Michigan, including Berrien, Branch, Ingham, Isabella, Kent, Midland, Newaygo and Van Buren, as well as the city of Detroit.

The company is headquartered in Grand Rapids, and the website says it provides "turnkey election services, support and products."

We have reached out to the Wayne County Clerk's Office for comment.
