Before you travel, make sure you pack Google's new app.
The company recently announced the release of Google Trips, an app designed to act as a trusty travel companion even when WiFi isn’t an option.
The app pulls in vacation info from your Gmail account, and shows you everywhere you’ve been and where you’re headed.
Users can check their flight and hotel info with just a couple of taps.
What's more, Google trips will help you explore things to do around your destination, and even tell you how to get from Point A to Point B.
You can tell the app you have a full day of sightseeing on tap, or just a morning to spend in town. Google Trips then helps you build an itinerary.

As a handy bonus, you can also download the content for a specific city, so in case you find yourself sans internet or cell service, you can still get the info you need.
Google is aiming to compete with other hot travel planning apps out there like Tripit, or Tripcase.
Google Trips is free on iOS and Android.
Happy travels!
