Governor Rick Snyder was deliberately vague when discussing a flurry of legislation being passed by the Republican-controlled Michigan Legislature. The governor is also a Republican. A Democratic governor takes office Jan. 1.  Some are calling the lame-duck session a power grab because some bills limit the power of the new Democrats coming into office.

The Governor lists among his accomplishments the Detroit Bankruptcy because he says it improved city services and he did what others were not willing to do.  The Governor says he went through some really tough times and so did the people of Flint, referring to the water crisis under his administration.  The Governor said, “you wish you could have done things better or different.”

The Governor says he will mentor and teach after leaving office but will be working through the next 20 days and the lame duck legislation.
