ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — When 8-year-old Everlyse, also known as "Evie," had to be tested for seizures at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Michigan, she was noticeably uncomfortable.
The girl is also blind and has always been fearful of doctors. So to help with her anxious feelings, the hospital's music therapist decided to help ease some of the girl's tensions.
"So when she needed seizure testing at the hospital, she was very anxious until a music therapist came into the room with a guitar," read a now-viral video on the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Facebook page.
The video was posted on Feb. 21. It shows Evie belting out Alessia Cara's "Scars to Your Beautiful," which was very appropriate. Evie immediately became calm for the procedure as she was singing the song.
The video, since its posting, has been viewed 1 million times, and shared nearly 2,000 times.
