DETROIT (WXYZ) — When he’s not tossing a ball around with his friends, you might find Daniel creating a new world with his Legos.

The 14-year-old who is currently in foster care is open to being adopted and looking for his future parents.

“My friends will say I [am] friendly and happy and in a good mood,” said Daniel.

“I like to go swimming for fun, and I like to build Legos when I am in independent time,” he added.

He enjoys playing outside in the fresh air and working out.

“I would like to go to college to be a football player. And if that doesn’t work out, I would like to be a basketball player. I really like basketball,” Daniel explained.

He’s a big animal lover and would be happy if he adoptive parent or parents had a pet.

“I like animals. What animals I like is dogs. I used to have a parrot, but it sadly died,” he said softly.

He really hopes to find a family match soon and remains optimistic it will happen.

“I would like a Mom and Dad and a brother or a sister… If there’s a baby involved, I would like that. I would like to [help] take care of it,” he said.

“I really want to get adopted because I’ve been through a lot in my life. And I want to stay in that adoptive home for good until I am able to live on my own,” Daniel said.

Spending time with his future parents and learning from them is something he’s looking forward to.

“If there is any family out there that will want me, I would just say that I would really appreciate it if you would just take care of me well,” Daniel said.
