When you ask Kevin what he wants to be when he grows up, the foster child says he’d like to be an automotive engineer. But his dream of being adopted by a loving family is his main focus.

The 15-year-old describes himself as kind, caring, and understanding. He also has a good sense of humor.

“I’m usually outgoing. I like making jokes a lot. My friends would describe me as someone that’s always joking, trying to make them laugh,” said Kevin.

He likes art projects including drawing cars illustrations.  That’s where his career goals come into play.

He also a musician.

“I write music and stories. Sometimes I just sit there and just play. I got two guitars that I play,” he said.

“I just kind of teach myself on the guitar by YouTube Just watching other people play,” he added.

He likes all kinds of music – from ACDC to Elvis!

“I’m more looking for a family with a musical background in a way. Also, a family where I can express myself,” said Kevin.

Kevin is very involved with his church and has a strong faith.

“He says that he knows a lot about the Bible, and that it is important to him to continue to have a relationship with the church,” said Kevin’s worker.

He also likes baseball. He’s a big fan of the Detroit Tigers.

Being outside is one of his favorite things.

“I like going camping, something I used to do. Also just going on different trips,” explained Kevin, who also likes hiking.

“I’ve been thinking of traveling to Australia…to see the wildlife and cool things,” he added.

He’s a big animal lover, too.  He loves dogs -- especially big dogs.

But his big wish, again, is to be adopted before he turns 18.

“I’m looking for a Mom and Dad, siblings, and a dog. A family that like to have a family instead of just moving around.

I just want a family that’s there for me,” he said.
