Hate lines? Robots queue for customers wanting latest iPhone

Some people are worried that robots will one day rule the world.

But, let's be honest, before they do that, they can at least wait in line for us to ensure we get the latest iPhone.

A New Zealand service provider called Spark came up with a brilliant plan.

Instead of having people camp out for the latest tech, they had the latest tech camp out on behalf of the people.

Spark stated in a press release that 100 Alpha 1 robots built by Chinese company UBTECH helped customers wait in line without wasting time.

Each bot was paired with a customer. The best part: the customer could live stream into the line, and even control the robot -- making it dance or do push ups with their phone, according to Spark.

After customers picked up the new phone at the store, Spark says they also got to keep their bot.
