If you’re looking to buy or sell some stuff — a new Facebook feature will help with your effort.
Think of Marketplace as a digital garage sale, minus all of the individual groups.
Facebook recently announced the new feature that was born out of an apparent need for the space, as proven by the many buy and sell groups currently on Facebook. Facebook says more than 450 million people visit these types of groups monthly — so it created one central location.
Users will find Marketplace by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the Facebook app.
They can then search by item to find listings nearby. Users can tap on the different photos to learn more and even message the seller directly, according to the company. Users can also take photos of their own stuff to sell and post it to Marketplace in a few quick steps.
Facebook says Marketplace will start rolling out to users 18 years old and up on the iPhone and Android app this week.
