We're hearing reports of a HAZMAT situation at the Northeast Water Treatment Plant.
The plant is located at 11000 E. 8 Mile Road in Detroit.
The HAZMAT situation has apparently been caused by a mercury spill at the plant. Sources tell 7 Action News that someone dropped a thermometer in their office.
There has been no report of water contamination.
