(WXYZ) — The metro Detroit region averages just 13 days above 90° each year, according to 7 First Alert Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes.

So far in 2020, we've had only three days at or above 90 – June 9 (90°), June 10 (91°) and June 20 (90°).

That is likely to change over the next week, as each day over the next 7 is forecasted to be above 90°.

July 2 - 92°
July 3 - 94°
July 4 - 92°
July 5 - 93°
July 6 - 92°
July 7 - 93°
July 8 - 92°

The longest stretch of consecutive 90° days in Detroit is 11, set in 1953. In Saginaw, it's 13 set in 1936 and Flint's was 10, also set in 1953.
