ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WXYZ) — An Action News viewer sent video of two people canoeing down Jefferson Street on Wednesday as rain inundated the area.
Resident Kasey Coleman said the area near Jefferson Avenue and Lanse Street floods often when the area gets heavy rainfall.
"It's crazy," Coleman said. "I've never seen it this bad."
Utility crews were across from the Blue Goose Inn using heavy equipment to pump out water from the roadway.
It's unknown how many feet of water the town received as a strong storm system moved through the area.
