BRIGHTON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Just in time for summer picnic season!
Kroger will showcase some of Michigan's best food and beverages during its annual Experience Local Event this Saturday, May 18.
The event will take place at the Kroger location on E. Grand River Avenue in Brighton, beginning at 10 a.m. More than 30 suppliers will be on hand offering samples of Michigan-made products ranging from ice cream and hot dogs to pies and Middle Eastern foods.

- Better Made Snack Foods, sampling chips
- Chuck and Dave’s, sampling salsa
- Dearborn Brand, sampling franks
- Detroit Bold Coffee Co., sampling coffee
- Fairlife, sampling Core Power drinks
- Garden Fresh Gourmet, sampling chips and salsa
- Grand Traverse Pie Company, sampling pies
- Guernsey Farms Dairy, sampling ice cream and milk
- Hacienda Mexican Foods, sampling tortillas made into quesadillas and tortilla chips
- Jen’s Gourmet Dressings, sampling salad dressings
- Kowalski’s Markets, sampling deli salads
- Little Diablo Salsa, sampling salsa
- Marcia’s Pickled Munchies, sampling pickles
- McClure’s Pickles, sampling pickle products
- Michigan Bee Co., sampling honey
- Michigan Dairy, sampling Kroger dips
- Michigan Farm to Freezer, sampling fruit for smoothies
- Mosul Kubba, Inc., sampling Mediterranean Kabobs
- Olympus Fare Salsa, sampling salsa

“The Experience Local Event is always a fun time that provides consumers the opportunity to sample delicious and sometimes unique foods available from local farmers and companies and to meet the people who provide these quality products,” said Rachel Hurst, corporate affairs manager, The Kroger Co. of Michigan. “All products that will be sampled are available on our Kroger store shelves every day.”
In addition, Kroger beverage stewards will offer samples of adult beverages from these suppliers:

The event will end at 2 p.m.
