PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — There are plans to breathe new life into the site of an old Kmart store in Plymouth Township.
Henry Ford Health System wants to revitalize the area at Ann Arbor Road and Haggerty. The plan involves building a new modern outpatient medical center.
There would be specialty care services, as well as an emergency department and an ambulatory surgery center.
The site has been idle since Kmart shut down in November 2017.
Henry Ford Health System is expected to close on the property in August and construction will begin shortly after that.
