Crews were on the scene of a house fire that was apparently caused by a lightning strike in Canton this morning.
The Canton Fire Department Deputy Chief says lightning struck a satellite dish on top of the house causing electricity to travel to the electrical box in the basement and start a fire.
A woman and her grandson were able to make it out of the home safely.
The basement was the only part of the home to sustain damage.
