After two recent armed robberies at ATMs in northwest Detroit, people are thinking about the measures they take to stay safe.
Action News talked to some metro Detroiters who all agreed that using money machines during daylight hours is the safest.
Police say it's easier to spot suspicious people during the day, but it's most important to be alert at all times.
Banking institutions also advise that people have their ATM card out of their purses and wallets before approaching the machine.
