I-696 near Inkster, just before Middlebelt, is back open after being shut down for about three hours following a crash on the westbound lanes.
A man was struck by two drivers while trying to waive cars around his disabled vehicle in the westbound lanes.
The collision happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, December 31. At least two vehicles were towed from the scene.
One driver was arrested for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Oakland County Jail.
Michigan State Police are handling this investigation.
