A major road project is impacting thousands this weekend who rely on I-75 in Oakland County.
The road is closed in both directions between Crooks Road and M-59 so crews can demolish the Squirrel Road Bridge.
This closure is about six miles and began at 11 p.m. Friday. It is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
This bridge demo is part of the massive on-going I-75 modernization project that includes updating more than a dozen bridges that cross over the highway.
Several I-75 entrance ramps are also closed this weekend.
