CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A disturbing case of thieves targeting porches to steal packages. In this case, a child accompanied by an adult is the one who commits the crime, which happened in Clinton Township Monday.
"I was shocked," said Tim Turner.
This is not what Turner was expecting to see after coming home Monday evening. He received a notification that two Amazon packages had arrived at his door but was surprised to find them missing.
Turner decided to check his security camera and couldn't believe what he saw.
“I feel violated that someone would come up on my front porch and take my package,” Turner said. "I was not expecting anything like that to happen but you see it on the news all the time.”

What's most disturbing is the crime is being committed by a child accompanied by an adult. In the video you see the boy approaching the porch – scoping it out – and that's when the adult follows.
They don't seem to notice the security camera. The two move the packages on the chair and walk away. That's when the adult appears to turn around and say something to the boy who then grabs both packages.
“What’s next," Turner said. "Are you stealing cars? You breaking into houses?”
Turner added that he has lived in his Clinton Township home on Kentucky Street for about 15 years and has never been a victim of porch piracy. He is now concerned this child is being raised to live a life of crime.
“What kind of an example," Turner asked. "What are you teaching this child? What’s his future going to look like?”
Turner said that Amazon has given him a credit for his stolen items.
