Imerman Cake Company is getting some sweet attention. The Bloomfield Township based company is featured in the May edition of Food Network Magazine.
“We were just delighted and said thank you so much. We were so happy they found us,” says co-owner of Imerman Cake Company, Jane Imerman.
Jane owns the family business with her son, Jeff.
The mother and son duo started the company in 2010. They sell organic coffeecakes: cinnamon and chocolate chip. But, Imerman Cake Company does more than just satisfy your sweet tooth.
“One mission is raising awareness of the organic food mission and the other mission is raising money for Imerman Angels which is an international one-on-one international cancer support organization,” says Jeff.
Imerman Angels is an organization that pairs someone diagnosed with cancer with someone who survived it. So, cancer patients have someone to lean on during treatment and coffeecake to make their days a little sweeter.
“The organic movement is becoming more and more popular as people realize the purity of ingredients is so important to their health,” says Jane.
