A 71-year-old woman died on Saturday morning after the car she was driving was hit by a driver with three license suspensions.

According to police, the crash happened around 10 a.m. on Saturday at the intersection of 13 Mile and Mound.

Police say a Warren officer on patrol saw a white Grand Prix driven by Marcel Bost run a red light and accelerate at a high rate of speed on Mound Rd.

Bost then hit a minivan at 12 and Mound causing minor damage with no injuries to the driver and continued north on Mound at a high rate of speed.

Police say Bost then broadsided a Kia Optima, driven by the woman, at 13 Mile and Mound. She was taken to the hospital but died on Monday.

According to police, Bost then ran and was taken into custody on the GM Tech Center property. Police say the officer turned his lights and sirens on after the suspect ran the first red light, but didn't violate any pursuit policy orders and did not chase after the suspect at a high rate of speed.

We're told Bost has three current suspensions and also had an improper license plate on the car and a traffic warrant out of Hazel Park.

He has been arraigned but they are looking to change the charges after the woman's death.
